Sometimes all you need is a sliver in time that shines in absolute perfection, to understand what belonging truly feels like.

“You are a piece of the puzzle of someone’s life. You may never know where you fit, but others will fill the holes in their lives with pieces of you.”

I had missed what friendships really felt like. The grounded knowing that occurs when you’re amongst a group of people that just weighs evenly. The introverts balance out the extroverts, the overt senses of humor balance out the dry, the more talkative give credence to those that tend to lean toward listening. And somehow that balance itself bonds the pieces together in a way that creates the space for everyone’s individual qualities to not only get enhanced, but you all begin to borrow the best traits from one another– and everyone becomes more colorful and alive in the process.

Most of all, when you experience that kind of kinship in a group, they not only become your favorite people on earth, there’s legitimately no place you’d rather be in the entire solar system than cooped up on an L shaped couch making each other laugh until tears run down your faces and your cheeks hurt from the the inability to stop.

Feeling like you’re in a group of soulmates, 6 perfect strangers– if even one had been missing, the magic would never have been the same.
